LOYISO HEADING FOR LONDON'S 46664 MADIBA CONCERT

According to a Sowetan report Loyiso Bala has been selected to perform at the annual 46664 Nelson Mandela concert.

Bala will be among the galaxy of stars who will perform at the much-anticipated 46664 Nelson Mandela benefit concert in London’s Hyde Park on June 27.

He will leave for London early in June to prepare for the concert.

“I’m excited about sharing a stage with some of the great talents of the world,” Bala said. “The thought of performing for Madiba is even more exhilarating.”

The multi-award winner who has scooped SAMAs, Metro FM and GQ’s Best Dressed, among other awards, shot to fame after following in his brother Zwai’s footsteps at the Drakensberg Boys Choir.

Other local stars due to mark Mandela’s 90th birthday at the June celebrations in London include Johnny Clegg, Sipho Mabuse and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
